Approximately 10,000 ex-offenders are released from state and federal penal institutions every week. More than two-thirds will be rearrested within the first three years of their release. Most of these ex-offenders return to communities that are impoverished and disenfranchised with little social aid and persistently high crime rates.
ITCDC strives to be a haven of hope for such persons. We offer a reentry program that has been specifically designed for ex-offenders, one that is staffed with a full-time Reentry Resource Coordinator. Our reentry program is dedicated to getting ex-prisoners back into the workforce and on track to becoming productive and caring members of society.
