If you live in zip codes 30314 or 30318, you're eligible to apply for enrollment in the Westside Works program, which assists residents of English Avenue, Vine City, Castleberry Hill, Atlanta University Center, Ashview Heights, Washington Park, Bankhead and other contiguous Westside communities.
The Westside Works program serves unemployed residents by providing access to necessary services that foster job success: skills assessments, soft skills, job readiness preparation and hard skills training. Services are provided by a collaboration of Westside soft and hard skills training organizations.
Integrity staff completes program registration and orientation activities, after which participants are assessed in the areas of:
- Career Aptitude (O'NET),
- Basic Education (TABE),
- Needs (supportive services referrals),
- Criminal Background (self-reported) and
- Overall skill level.
Following the assessment, participants receive an intake interview with recommendations for a career path, training options and next steps.
Both job readiness and hard skills training are available. Current hard skills training opportunities include:
- Office Skills
- Cement Truck Driver
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Culinary Arts
- Auto Technician
- IT Support
